Glen Doyle

Glen was born on 12th February 1940 in Melbourne, Australia. When he was eighteen he was called up for National Service and on completion, joined 2 Commando Company (CMF), which he left four years later with the rank of Sergeant.

He then moved to UK and at once joined the British Army in the Parachute Regiment.

After completing his parachute training, he served in the Middle East in Bahrain, Aden and Dhala. He next went to Singapore and Borneo with 'C' (Independent) Company, which was the forerunner of today's Patrol Companies and Platoons.

He was discharged in November 1965.
